The Coronavirus and Our Campaign

The Donna Michaels campaign recognizes and appreciates the importance of precautions being taken to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

By working together, heeding and implementing individual safeguards and medical precautions we will—in just a matter of time—once again be a region of neighbors enjoying our typical rural lifestyle.

We encourage everyone to educate themselves about this global pandemic by visiting this link to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website. Yavapai County Community Health Services has informational resources available.

Our campaign is ready to address this challenge and we want you to be, too. We remind you that our communities throughout the Verde Valley Region are strong and resilient. Know that we are following all of the latest information provided by reputable national, state, and local experts which inform our decisions regarding campaign activities.

With that in mind, we have decided on a temporary shift away from in-person campaign activities such as canvassing and in-home gatherings and are now increasing our digital resources. Your attention to this website (supervisordonnamichaels.com) and our presence on social media will become increasingly important. Please check in frequently and help the campaign by sharing with as many other people as you can. We also ask you to please consider a generous contribution to help us increase our reach through digital media.

We need and invite volunteers who are adept at social media and volunteers willing to work on campaign support from home like making phone calls (couch canvassing), fund raising, etc. You may use the contact us form with your specific interests or call (928) 963-1638.

We are progressing quite successfully with this campaign, gratified by the very strong and growing support we’ve received in recent months. Citizens throughout District 3 and our entire county and Verde Valley Region clearly recognize the importance of local control and are joining with us to work towards such a mandate.

Stay well and please extend a helping hand to your neighbors, especially our elderly and those with special needs or considerations during this important period of social distancing.

Remember, we are in this together!

Your Candidate for Yavapai County Supervisor District 3,
Donna Michaels, Ph.D.
